Boat Storage off Water
Hardstands for Trailer, Boats and Jet Skis
RQYS’s security gated grounds has 180 hardstand spaces for sailboats, power boats or jet skis on trailers.
Each space has strong weather tie downs, power and water. Our hardstand spaces are conveniently located near the clubhouse, on site contractors, slew crane, 3 launching ramps, BBQ and picnic areas and extensive rigging lawns.
To book a hardstand space you must be a full member, however if you are not a member we are more than happy to step you through the membership application process and can even help you find your sponsors if you would like to join.
Land Based Boat Storage
The Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron (RQYS) provides excellent land-based boat storage facilities with space for 145 trailer boats, be it sail or power. Their secure, convenient, and well-maintained storage options cater to various vessel sizes, ensuring the safety and care of your boat.
- A concrete hardstand where you can work on your boat, take a break for a coffee or lunch and come back to it.
- Gated site with 24/7 monitoring of gates and security patrols
- Onsite fuelling with very competitive prices
- 2 launching ramps and a Slipway to the Hardstand
- On-site Contractors
- Travelift and Slew Crane
- Wash down with gurney available when being slipped
- Extensive rigging and parking areas
- Car-trailer parking spaces within the gates – not in a public parking area
- Strong weather tie downs
Off Water Etchell Storage
RQYS is home of the Etchells Qld State Champions and boasts a dedicated Etchell area complete with slew crane.
Members can choose to sail RQ owned Etchells through our program, sail our boats or store their own Etchell here. Etchells stored off water in the Etchell area must be on a dolly. Etchell road trailer storage is also available. Visitors are welcome to store their Etchells off water when competing.
Slewing crane training for members is provided free of charge please contact the marina office to book a time
