Start Sailing 1 & 2

Course Overview

Our Start sailing 1 and 2 courses are run in Quests (dinghy class), and are for ages 12 years – Adult.

This is an introduction to the basics of sailing on double-handed dinghy, including boat handling, safety, sailing theory, and touches on other essential areas including weather, tides and other general safety procedures and rules.

Course Prerequisites

  • Water Confident
  • 12+ years old

Course Outcome

You will gain your Australian Sailing Start Sailing 1 and Start Sailing 2 completion certificate. 

What To Bring?

  • Enclosed Shoes
  • Hat
  • Sun safe clothes that you can swim in
  • Water and Food
