The 2025 South Pacific Laser Masters delivered the full range of conditions. From no wind and racing abandoned on Day 1, to too much wind and racing abandoned on the final day!
Despite the wild weather, smiles filled the rigging lawns on the final day. Some sailors were buzzing with adrenaline after reportedly clocking their fastest-ever reaches in a Laser, while others were just relieved to be back on dry land. One enthusiastic competitor was overheard claiming they’d sailed in 30–40 knots… though local weather stations reported a slightly more modest 20–25 knots. But never let the facts get in the way of a good post sail story!
The ILCA Masters focus on age-group results, so the full list is extensive. You can view the full results here: https://app.sailsys.com.au/club/25/results/series/4638/pointscore?view=individual&handicap=s
A massive thank you to the following volunteers, many of whom have now supported three major regattas back-to-back. Your dedication is second to none. Enjoy the well-earned break before the new sailing season kicks off!
