The Start Crewing and Helming Course at RQYS is designed for beginners, aged 16 and over, to build their keelboat sailing skills over 4 days. Participants will learn foundational crewing techniques such as sail trimming, safety essentials, knot tying, and sailing theory. The course also teaches intermediate helming skills, including tacking, gybing, reefing, anchoring, heaving-to, and Man-Overboard recovery.
