The RQYS Marina
NEW MARINA BERTHS – Click here for plan

The Squadron’s Marina comprises 464 floating marina berths to accommodate vessels up to 25 metres length overall. The Marina is owned and operated by RQYS Marina Limited, which holds leases from the Port of Brisbane Corporation over part of the Manly Boat Harbour and adjoining land. Individual berths within the marina are owned by Squadron members via sub-leases which give owners their rights to occupy the berths under sub-lease terms and conditions.
The berth owners’ own vessels occupy the majority of berths, but some are available for rent to other Squadron members and to bone fide visiting yachtsmen. Rental arrangements are made through the Marina Office, as are re-sales of marina berths. While commercial vessels (other than fishing trawlers) may occupy marina berths, they may not ply for hire or reward from the marina.
The marina also operates on-site maintenance and slipping facilities utilizing a 35 tonne capacity Marine Travelift, a concrete hardstand/service area and the associated machinery and equipment. By arrangement, Marina staff will lift your vessel from the water, pressure wash the hull underwater area, and set it in hardstand frames ready for maintenance works to be carried out. Other maintenance must be completed by the vessel’s owner or, by private arrangement, by a contractor. Marina staff will assist with the names of suitable contractors, who must be approved by the Marina Manager, in advance.
The Squadron’s Marina has been a leader in the area of environmental management. No major repairs are permitted in the berths, but may be undertaken on the hardstand area, where compliance with environmental licence conditions is mandatory.
The marina office is staffed between Monday to Friday (0900 to 1630 hours) and Saturday (0800 to 1230 hours). The Office is closed Sundays and public holidays. Outside marina office hours, inquiries regarding berth occupancy and bookings may be directed to the Squadron office.
