COURSE: 2CR

NUMBER OF BOATS: 23

With the amazing Brisbane Race Week running in conjunction with WAGS this week and the majority of that fleet being regular competitors, our fleet looked down. However when you add the combined fleets, it was business as usual with over a 40 boats spread. Course 2CR was the original Course Alpha which was the standard go to so often. It was good to revisit and enjoy.

So the western cardinal was the first mark of the course and in a sou’easter, it was an enjoyable running reach from the start boat. From there you kept Green Island to starboard and headed out to the Hope Banks Rec, mark. Not as easy as written. The breeze was light and a little shifty making the beat to Hope tricky. But it was one of those awesome afternoons on our bay and you just didn’t care. One to Hope, it was a starboard turn and a run to Lockyer Light and home to the finish. A near perfect sail.
