WIND: ENE-NE-N 6-8 Knts
NUMBER OF BOATS: 45
Finally enough wind to finish a full course. What another amazing afternoon. Course Hotel was chosen to give a beat from Lockyer Light to the St. Helena red, however, with slightly softer conditions around 14.00 saw the breeze settle from the ENE and made the first leg a beat and a broad reach north. It may have been a blessing given the flooding tide. From the start line some skippers went on a starboard tack to Green to get out of the tide and layed Lockyer. This had some great advantages. The port rounding at the top mark and a flooding tide gave assistance home to the finish with another close result. Again great to watch! Well done to all!
