Like Ballet on the water, the boat Epernay, grande jeté-ed at the finish line

I believe I have mentioned it before, but how good is a windward finish. To be sitting on the finish boat and looking down the course to watch boats tacking all over Waterloo Bay is mesmerizing. It’s like ballet!! Precise, deliberate and rhythmical. A joy to behold. If possible I must work on more of this!!

The sou’easter arrived at exactly 12:40. Thank you! It stayed all afternoon and gave all skippers and crew another fantastic Wednesday afternoon sail. The first leg from the start boat to Lockyer Light was a beat. With a lee shore to port some thinking was required before a very enjoyable reach to the Hope Banks RM. Thank goodness the lead boats found it (still out of position!!!!!!!!). It was a port rounding at the mark and a run back to the Green Island Red and on to the Western Cardinal. Then- Surprise, Surprise a working leg home to the finish boat anchored just south of Lockyer Light. Exceptionally well sailed everyone, Awesome day!
