It is with deep sadness that we inform members of the passing of Past Commodore and Life Member Steve Morris.

Steve was a long-serving and dedicated member of the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, who served as Commodore from 1996 to 1998 and was awarded Life Membership on the Squadron’s Opening Day in 2021.

Steve’s contributions extended well beyond his term as Commodore. He remained a steady presence, a mentor to the Youth Committee and as Honorary Solicitor on occasion, guiding the Squadron with integrity, commitment and passion. His knowledge, humility and enduring support of Squadron activities will be sorely missed.

Our thoughts are with Steve’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. If you would like to pay your respects to the Morris family, please register your attendance for his funeral service here.
