The Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron is incredibly proud of our Youth Squad sailors who represented RQYS at the East Coast Championships hosted by Woollahra Sailing Club on Sydney Harbour over the weekend.

For many of the sailors, this was their first time racing on Sydney Harbour, making these results even more impressive!

ILCA 4 Results

Monte – 1st Overall

Addie – 2nd Overall & 1st Female

Seb – 4th Overall

Evie – 8th Overall

Xavier – 9th Overall

An outstanding achievement to have all RQYS ILCA 4 sailors finishing inside the Top 10!

Optimist Open Results

Jack – 5th Overall

Harriet – 17th Overall

Lyla – 19th Overall

These results are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and positive attitude these sailors bring to training and competition. Most importantly, they embraced the challenge of sailing on Sydney Harbour, learned a lot, and had a fantastic time doing it.

We wish our ILCA 4 sailors the very best as they continue their preparations for the upcoming ILCA 4 World Championships in Aarhus!
