As usual the group had dinner at RQYS at 5.30pm with 10 boats signed in for the cruise on the weekend. Celebration, Curlew, Epernay, Danu, Dawns Light, Ocean Serenity,Meltemi, Moonglade and Seapurb.

At 7.30pm we moved to the auditorium to discuss our options for the weekend. With the outlook of 15 to 20 knots on Saturday and a chance of Southerlies overnight and
significant rain, it was agreed to change our destination to Canaipa (Warmer & Dryer).

All crew were ashore by 4.00pm, we took over the Longhouse, made a big circle of chairs and began our sundowners. Jane then called everyone together for the Truth and Lies game. What an interesting time we had learning some unknown facts about our sailing groups past. Who would have thought one of our group drank a beer with the pope (and it was no lie). Other interesting facts had someone spent a night in Jail (It was only really the only available accommodation), so he said. Crashing a rally car, winning a beauty contest were other tales. We had a great time really seeing the antics our sailing group had in their lifetime. Congratulation to Deb from Meltemi who won the overall prize.

Sunday morning at Canaipa and Erwin and Elsa continued with their tradition of making pancakes for everyone. Plenty for everyone with thirds in some cases.

Most boats took advantage of theoutgoing tide to travel home. A few tried to sail in the light conditions but with dark clouds forming behind us a dash to the club was made to get to RQYS.

Our next cruise will be Christmas in July, so be sure to advise David if you want to join us.

Thanks also to Erica and Peter for their hospitality.
