With The Wind
by Oliver Wendell Holmes

I find the great thing in this world
Is not so much where we stand,
As in what direction we are moving.
To reach the port of Heaven,
We must sail sometimes with the wind
And sometimes against it,
But we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor.

After last week’s lack of wind I thought that appropriate.

This week we had a good breeze of about 16 – 18 knots to start, with the fleet reaching out to Hopes Beacon then beating up to the Saint Helena Red then back between the islands to finish near the Manly outer leads.

A really good sail enjoyed by all.
