August 23, 2018

The first race of the season will be 15 September on Opening Day, however this will not count towards any point score. Racing will continue every weekend afternoon from then on, scheduled as per the 2018/19 Sailing Program (https://www.rqys.com.au/sailing-program/).

RQYS looks forward to another season of Club Racing, featuring the various Off The Beach classes, the various Boards including the new Foilers, the Optimist fleet of 40 (green, intermediate and open levels), the Etchells (whom are having their world championship at the Squadron in October 2018), Division Yacht fleet who are just finishing a massive Winter of sailing from Brisbane to Keppel, to Airlie Beach and now at Hamilton Island, as well as the sportsboats and trailerables that featured at Airlie Beach Race Week.

Along with Club Racing returns the RQYouthSquad regular training program for junior and youth classes at the Squadron. We would like to remind young sailors and parents that a 2018/19 seasons entry is compulsory for them to participate in training with coaches/instructors at RQYS. Training fees may apply to.

The race documents and online entry will be available soon.
