The amount of thumbs up and positive comments on social media reinforced the decision not to sail a good one. Not a nice day. After over 16 years, I am personally programmed to the routine of the events that occur on a Wednesday, and I’m sure many skippers and crew feel the same. It’s an institution and we all have a part to play. The number one thing is that we get to share the afternoon with our Wags family and with the attitude expected. I have seen, in my time, the fleet mature both in rule knowledge and sailing skills. Yes nothing is perfect and occasionally the red mist finds its way out, but all in all when you have 35-40 boats averaging 40 foot plus, I’m amazed at the lack of confrontation.  So while I don’t have much to report on this week, I truly want to say—GOOD JOB!!
