WIND: N 5-12 knts
COURSE: 25B
NUMBER OF BOATS: 30
Not even the storm warning could keep stop us!
With a forecast of late afternoon storms inclusive of warnings of hail and lightning it seemed prudent to select a course close to home and not too long.
Starting with a light northerly and slack tide it was a gently reach out to Lockyer light then a long beat past GERM to Saint Helena red.
An increase in wind speed to about 10 knots and start of incoming tide had the leaders enjoying a run south of better than 7 knots.
The first vessel finished the course in just over 1 ½ hours and the entire fleet back in harbour well before any storm arrived.
We welcomed a new addition to the WAGS family, Ian and Judith and their lovely Swan 40.
Coming up:
20/11/24-The Ross Jullyan Memorial Trophy and race 1 of the Geoff Anderson Memorial Super Series
