Strong performances & dedication from our junior sailors!

RQYS sailors had an impressive showing at the Queensland Youth Sailing Championships in Yeppoon last week, dominating the results across multiple classes. Their strong performances showcased skill and determination, solidifying RQYS’s reputation in youth sailing. Competitors navigated challenging conditions from big waves and wind to light fickle breezes, but RQYS sailors consistently finished at the top, reflecting their rigorous training and dedication. This success highlights the bright future of sailing talent at RQYS. The Yeppoon event is one of our key junior and youth events in the Nation with over 283 competitors making the Journey North.

The Yeppoon regatta kick starts the summer preparation for our RQYS Sailors who compete at Summer National Events.

Our team was support by our amazing parent group and Coaches ,RQYS also had Volunteers ,Race management ,and Jury members attend and help with running the event with Australian Sailing and the Keppel Bay Sailing Club .
