Denmark Bound! Seven of our ILCA 4 youth academy sailors heading abroad.

A huge congratulations to seven of our junior sailors, who have been selected to represent Australia at the ICLA 4 Worlds at the Aarhus International Sailing Centre in Denmark, August 2026. This is a tremendous reward to their hard work, dedication and commitment to the sport. Of the 11 Australians selected, seven are from RQYS, another significant achievement for our club, and aspiring sailors.

This achievement is testament to the dedication of the RQYS Sailing Academy, coaches and their parents, who have continued to develop, support and mentor our young sailors to aspire to international sailing levels.

Aarhus International Sailing Centre is a world class venue known for its challenging conditions and Olympic heritage – our junior sailors will join the globe’s elite youth talent comprising 46 countries in a true test of skill, determination, strategy and resilience on a world stage.

Should you see the crew on the ILCA rigging lawn, the young sailors are Mila Gan; Addison Greenwood; Ruby Carter, Evie McGuire; Sebastian Behrens; Harry Hogan; and Monte Morse.

To see our young sailors succeed we want the whole club behind them, so keep a watch for further updates on their lead up preparation, travel adventures and competition results.
