Fifty sailors and their dedicated support teams travelled north to Yeppoon to compete in the Zhik Youth Sail QLD 2025, hosted by Keppel Bay Sailing Club.

The Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron (RQYS) youth squad once again showcased the strength of its sailing programme, with training and preparation paying off in an impressive haul of podium finishes across multiple classes.

These results underline the depth of talent at RQYS and the promising future of its youth sailors.

Head Coach Adrian Finglas praised the group:

“The sailors showed not just skill, but incredible resilience across a variety of conditions. Their results are a reflection of the hard work they’ve put in all season.”

With Youth Sail NSW this weekend, and a busy regatta season ahead, the RQYS youth squad will carry this momentum forward, continuing to build on a strong culture of training, teamwork, and success.
