Over the past week, the Squadron has been a hub of activity, hosting nearly 240 competitors from across Australia and several international participants from Singapore, Italy, New Zealand, Germany, the USA, Japan, and Fiji. The six days of competitive racing showcased the Squadron’s exceptional ability to host professional, high-level events.

In the ILCA 4 Gold Fleet, Breanne Wadley from RQYS claimed 1st place, while James Dale and Wilbur Bright secured 5th and 6th places, respectively, in the 47-strong fleet. In the Silver Fleet, Morgan Grieve achieved an impressive 2nd place in a competitive field of 45 sailors. The ILCA 6 Gold Fleet featured intense competition among Australia’s top female sailors. Mara Stransky delivered an outstanding performance, securing four first-place finishes and three second-place finishes in the 12-race series, earning her 1st place overall. Notable mentions go to Frances Beebe and Simon Small, who placed 10th and 11th, respectively. Simon also finished as the second-highest male, further underscoring the exceptional talent within the female ILCA 6 fleet. In the ILCA 7 class, RQ was represented by 4 Sailors in the 46 boat fleet, with Isaac Schotte coming home in 7th Place
