RQYS has 12 sailors competing in the Tan Lines OK Dinghy World Championships at the Club this week, and after 4 days of action Brett Whitbread is leading our Club charge now in 24th position ,RQYS has 4 juniors sailing in the Championship all out of the Clubs Youth Program from various classes.
Out of 110 entries, Jordan Barney is current leading the Junior charge in 69th position, Jackson Black the youngest and smallest sailor in the fleet is currently in 82nd position and is loving the opportunity to be sailing with all the OK dinghy gurus.
The Ok dinghy class put on a Breakfast for the juniors during the week so our youth could rub shoulders with the last few class World Champions, the morning was a great success, and the highlight was Americas Cup legend Rod Davis encouraging our juniors to keep up the OK dinghy journey.
