Opti’s in QLD!
Come join us for this great event. it’s a great chance for young Opti sailors to race in the beautiful waters of Moreton Bay, QLD. All are welcome! Even if your child has just started it’s worth entering, as the green fleet will have on water coaches and lots of prizes for the new sailors. The green fleet will be sailed close in and in sheltered water with an emphasis on fun and prizes for all!
The Notice of Race and entry link can be found at here. Enter before the 21/4 to ensure the regatta shirt and assist with planning, late entries attract a late fee.
The regatta is open to the International Optimist Class that comply with the Class Rules of the International Optimist Dinghy Association. Competitors may enter only one of the following Fleets: Open Fleet; Intermediate Fleet; Green Fleet. The courses to be sailed will be a modified Trapezoid course as described in the Sailing Instructions. Green Fleet may sail triangular or windward/leeward courses. If you are not sure which fleet to enter your child read the document ” which fleet” on web address above, and if it’s still not clear please email Lisa at the email address above.

Nationals this year are at RQYS in January 2018 so this is a great chance for your child to get used to this venue. The waters are sheltered and idea for all sailors.
