There has been a good response for the Weather Training session presented by Mal Riley.  As per earlier notices Mal’s career started in the Navy meteorological service. He then went on to 34 years with the Bureau of Meteorology. His passion is sailing including being skipper of the tall ship Lady Nelson out of Hobart and sailing on Queensland’s tall ship South Passage.

The sessions will cover global, regional and local weather and be held over 3 evenings Tuesday 8th to Thursday  10th October 2019.  The sessions will start at 6:45 and progress for about 3 hours each.  We will arrange a table in the Boardwalk Café for those who wish to dine at the Squadron before the training.

The cost of the course is $60 each.  This is to cover Mal’s travel from Tasmania and associated costs.   This amount will be required to be paid prior to the course.  RQYS members can arrange with Fergus (fergus@rqys.com.au) to have it charged to their account by 4th October.

If you wish to partake, change your status on the attached list or have a query please contact Peter Hulme (bnphulme@bigpond.com).
