MAYBE-to express uncertainty

I think that the severity of Monday’s storm hung heavily on the minds of many skippers and crew. There were many damaged boats in the harbour and MAYBE the thought of more damage or MAYBE many skippers decided to err on the conservative side, because there was very little interest in the early morning’s boat registration.

MAYBE if the dawn brought a guarantee of a beautiful day with a perfect 10 knot nor’easter so all could venture out onto our bay and enjoy the afternoon. If you ask me the Brissy storm season is back with vengeance and MAYBE we need to be very aware of the dangerous impact it can and is having on our lifestyle. MAYBE if the severity of Monday’s storm was monitored a little better?

As you can read MAYBE’S aren’t a certain thing, just like in life. The only thing that could be done on the day was to make a call not to sail. Right wrong or in between and that Skippers and Crew is a definite!!!

Coming Up: Next week-Race 2/7 of the Geoff Anderson Memorial Super Series
