There must be time when the reader of this report must be tired of “what more can he say, or not this again”. But it gets very difficult, every week, to try to put to words how Wednesday arvo’s are the best time of the week. So I am going to try to put a different spin on this week’s sail. Thinking, thinking, thinking.

So I’m having my usual melt down at 16:59 (presentation) you would think that after nearly 17 years that would go away, and I’m looking about the bar and I find myself having a quiet giggle. There are people scattered all about the room just laughing and having a great time reflecting on the days sail. From a gentle dig to a loud boast. It’s a crescendo.  For a moment it’s like being transported to some make believe land where all is good and right. Running reaching starts to commotion and bedlam at the top mark to another broad reach home and all that happened in between. It must have been good, no one complaining.

So I take a big breath and carry on with the usual stuff, giving away well earned prizes and finally come to the realization that all is good and right—It’s Wednesday!! And it was a great sail!!

Coming Up: The St. Helena Cup- October 11/12
