We’re looking for volunteer Squadron ambassadors! The new “Officer of the Day” positions will play an important role to extend and foster fellowship by assisting Members, their guests and visitors while at the Club.   Interested?  Read on for details and how to apply.

Become an Officer of the Day!

We are looking for member volunteers to join our Officer of the Day team. This role plays a key part in supporting the Squadron by assisting members, their guests and visitors while they are at the Club.

If you would like to give back to the Club or enjoy meeting people, this is a great way to get involved!

What the role involves
Officers of the Day help support our reception and front-of-house  teams on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and during major Squadron events. You will be one of the first faces that members and visitors meet when they arrive to the Clubhouse. Some of the assistance required are:

  • Greeting and welcoming members and guests who are attending events, sailing and/or dining
  • Providing directions and answering general enquiries
  • Offering basic tours of the Club
  • Supporting the smooth flow of activity at reception

You will be provided with a smart uniform and be an important representative of RQYS.

Who we’re looking for
You don’t need previous experience. All you need is a friendly manner, confidence in talking to people and a genuine interest in the Squadron. We would love to hear from you!
