Travelling to Europe these holidays? If you are in Switzerland pay a visit to our reciprocal club, Gstaad Yacht Club –  http://www.gstaadyachtclub.com. They will gladly welcome you on presentation of your membership card or call us to arrange an Introductory letter.

The Gstaad Yacht Club was founded in 1998 by a group of sailor enthusiasts with the vision to “create a unique global yacht club away from the waters, instead of another local club by the waters”. With its club facilities based in the Swiss mountains and in the beginning, very often acknowledged with surprise, the GYC developed to a club with 400 members from over 20 different countries and is a place where members and their guests love to meet.

Or later in the year – you might like to join them for The Gstaad Yacht Club Centenary Trophy race. This race gathers yachts of 100 years or older that compete with a specially created handicap system in a pursuit race, a format that has proved extremely attractive for the sailors and the public. The 2019 event is being held on 3 October during Les Voiles de Saint Tropez – http://www.lesvoilesdesaint-tropez.fr/les_voiles_de_saint_tropez/. We have some entry cards available here at the Squadron if you are interested – please call Lynne – 3396 8666 for a copy

The Squadron has a number of reciprocal clubs throughout the world, a list of these can be found on our website: https://www.rqys.com.au/members/reciprocal-clubs/ and we are happy to provide an Introductory Letter if you are planning on visiting any of these clubs. Equally if you intend to visit to a club which is not on our reciprocal list we usually find that most other yacht clubs will welcome you on presentation of your current membership card or introductory letter. Please call our Reception staff who will be more than happy to provide a letter for you.
