Just for something different the Cruising Group held its December Cruise in the Raby Bay canals to look at the Christmas lights. We started, as is traditional with ‘sundowners’ held on Craig and Kerry Margetts’ balcony on a lovely evening watching the sunset.
25 people attended the event and initially we thought that we would need two catamarans – so Glenn and Joanne Taylor brought LUCINDA as a stand-by but in the end everyone fitted on SCARLETT, Craig and Kerry’s boat and we all went for a delightful tour of the festive decorations as Santa drove us around the canals to the tune of Christmas carols on loud speaker and fairy-light jib and mainsails aloft.
The lights were good and the company was exceptional. All reported having a good time as we returned to a sausage sizzle back at Craig’s & Kerry’s.
