The 2025 Wing Foil Nationals at Parkdale Yacht Club was an incredible event, drawing some of the best riders from around the Globe to compete in thrilling conditions. Among them were six dedicated members from the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron (RQYS), who embraced the challenge, gained valuable experience, and most importantly, had an unforgettable time on the water.

The competition showcased a mix of light and strong wind days, testing the skills and adaptability of all competitors. Our RQYS sailors took full advantage of the varied conditions, refining their techniques and pushing their limits against a strong national fleet.

Throughout the event, the camaraderie between competitors was evident, and the RQYS team made the most of the opportunity to learn from some of best wing foilers. With plenty of high-speed action, tight battles on the racecourse, and a few spectacular wipeouts, the event delivered everything a wing foiling enthusiast could ask for.

Beyond the racing, the atmosphere at Parkdale Yacht Club was electric, with a supportive community of riders, event organizers, and spectators cheering on every competitor. The RQYS sailors not only improved their racing skills but also forged new friendships and deepened their passion for the sport.

With the 2025 Nationals now behind them, the RQYS wing foiling team is more motivated than ever, bringing home new insights and experiences that will undoubtedly help them in future competitions. As the sport of wing foiling continues to grow, RQYS is proud to have a strong presence on the national stage, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for these talented sailors. A few of our team are making the Journey across the ditch to New Zealand in March for the New Zealand Nationals.

Congratulations to all competitors, and a huge thank you to Parkdale Yacht Club for hosting such a fantastic event!
