QMTS Training has just announced new dates for two of their most popular training courses.

The Basic Navigation Course will run for four consecutive Wednesday nights from 1800 – 2100 commencing Wednesday 18 September 2019.

The course will cover the use of paper charts and will cover Latitude/Longitude, Distance, Direction, Compass Error, Position Fixing and Tides. This knowledge will then be used to develop an understanding of electronic navigation and how to get the best out of our electronic navigation equipment.

Our second course is for you, The Cruising Partners Survival Kit is designed to give you some basic skills to help you survive and to assist your partner in case of an emergency.

The course will cover some basic boat handling, VHF Radio use, Person Overboard and other emergencies, Basic First Aid and many other tips to help you feel confident on board your boat.

This course will run on Thursday evenings (1800 – 2100) commencing Thursday 24 October 2019.

The cost of either course is $440 for non-members and $400 for members. Please call 3186 6930 to book your place.
