The Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron is delighted to welcome Mettle as a new partner of the RQ Sailing Academy. Their generous support has been directed towards sponsoring a complete new set of sails for the Academy’s charter fleet.

Mettle began its life in 2015 and since its inception has grown from humble beginnings to become a well-recognised and respected construction, refurbishment, defence, and fitout business. With offices in Brisbane, Townsville and Sydney, Mettle is well-positioned for sustainable growth along the eastern coastline of Australia.

These sails will ensure that our junior sailors have access to quality equipment that is reliable, safe, and performance-ready. This investment directly enhances the sailing experience for participants in training, and development programmes hosted by the Squadron.

The Squadron extends its sincere thanks to Marc Kenney (Managing Director), Michael Sutcliffe (Director QLD) and Luke White (Senior Site Manager) from Mettle for their commitment to supporting grassroots sailing and investing in the future of our sport. Their contribution will have a lasting impact on the Academy and its members for years to come.

Marc Kenny  General Manager, Michael Sutcliffe – QLD Area Manager, and Luke White – Senior Site Manager
