It has become financially unsustainable for the Squadron to continue absorbing the credit card commission fees associated with a high volume of credit card transactions at the Squadron. It is thus necessary that, starting 01 November 2018 the Squadron will implement credit card surcharges on Direct Debit and over the counter transactions. For All Credit Cards (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Diners and International transactions) the surcharge will be 1.5% for monthly, half yearly and annual Direct Debit credit card charges as well as over the counter credit card transactions.
We are though pleased to provide an alternative for our members who wish to avoid these surcharges. If replace your direct debit credit card authorities with direct debit bank transfers and EFTPOS transactions (for over the counter payments) you will avoid all fees.
If you choose to implement the changes above, please contact the Squadron at accountsreceivable@rqys.com.au or 3396 8666 (ask for Karen Hanify) before 01 November 2018 to change your details and avoid fees. After this date credit card surcharges will apply.
Please check your newsletter and our website for more detail and information on this in the coming weeks.
