We’ve just had a great couple of days racing the Far East in the St Helena Cup. For those of you who don’t know it, this 2 day regatta has been running since 1976 and features 2 x 20nm races outside St Helena Island with over 70 boats competing.

This year we raced with a new crew of David Hume, Sue Bertram, Felipe Fenselau de Felippes, Walter Cieslar, Vince O’Hagan and Franz Sigi Huber. The wind started light both days but turned into a beautiful sailing breeze and ideal conditions. Though we were punished for our past successes (a high handicap), it was a stunning weekend and a great way for us all to get some early season racing in.
