Start Windsurfing is the perfect introduction to this fun and dynamic sport. You’ll learn the essential skills needed to safely get up on the board, control your sail, and start moving with the wind — all in a supportive and beginner-friendly environment.

With a focus on balance, control, and confidence, this course will have you experiencing the thrill of windsurfing from your very first session.

Who is this course for?

Perfect for complete beginners looking to try something new and exciting.

No prior experience is needed — just a willingness to get in the water and give it a go! All equipment is provided by our accredited Discover Sailing Centre.

Prerequisites

• Water confident

• 12 – 17 Years of Age

What to Bring

• Swimwear or quick-dry clothing

• Towel & change of clothes

• Hat, sunscreen & water bottle

• Wetsuit (optional – depending on weather)

Course Outcome

By the end of the course, you’ll receive your Australian Sailing Start Windsurfing completion certificate.

You’ll walk away with the skills and confidence to continue building your windsurfing ability and enjoying time on the water.
