Saturday, 16th of September marked the beginning of our 133rd Sailing Season. It also marked the introduction of our new Social Racing program, which allows aspiring sailors to skipper or crew on our club-owned Elliott 6s in our Saturday afternoon Club Racing.

Sailing alongside the Etchells, Catamarans and 29ers, we’ve had an Elliott 6 out on the course competing every Saturday since the very beginning of the Sailing Season.

So far, we’ve attained three new skippers, two seasons entrants and eight new crew for the Elliotts.

The program facilitates the integration of our Sailing Academy graduates, who have learnt to sail, into our Club Racing. We anticipate to support our sailors and maintain their participation in this fantastic sport.

We invite anyone who is interested in Skippering or Crewing on a casual or regular basis, to call the Sailing Office on 07 3396 8666 and book in to crew on an Elliott through Social Racing now! Anyone that does not feel confident racing can book into Keelboat Courses, Social Sailing classes ($35.00 for 2 hours), and more, through the Sailing Academy.
