In the past our welcome to new members has taken the form of a cocktail party type gathering where new members are introduced to current members and some of our Sponsors. Sadly COVID restrictions have not allowed this to happen.

So on behalf of our Flag Officers, Committee Members and Members, to all our new members who have joined in recent months, Welcome to the Squadron.

Folks join our club for a myriad of boating related reasons and the overarching benefits are seen in the ability to associate with likeminded people, enjoying each other’s company on or near the water. As new comers please don’t hesitate to ask any one of our friendly staff or another member if there is anything we need to do to meet with your expectations of membership.

Traditionally, new members receive a gift of a copy of the Squadron’s history book “Up the River and Down the Bay”, so when next at the club, pop into Reception and pick up your copy.

Our plan, restrictions permitting, is to hold a New Members Welcome Function sometime in October, so keep your eye on the weekly ‘In The Wind’ email for more information.
