The Myora Cup Navigation Event was held last weekend with 23 vessels competing in either Traditional or GPS.  The weather was enough to turn anyone off but the fleet headed into a strong 25-30 knots SE and an ebbing tide which created challenges for all traversing across the bay.

Both courses commenced North of Myora down the Rainbow Channel where they split into two legs swinging wide across the bay down towards Wallen and finishing at Blakesley’s.

There was lots of water across the deck and over the flybridge which created limited visibility.  Thanks to Chris Land for setting start times so there was no need to overtake another vessel.

This year the Powerboat Committee sourced and cooked breakfast with additional proceeds going towards better prizes.  Thank you to crews who volunteered for cooking duties.

Thank you to our major sponsor Trymax Marine Electronics for donating 1st and 2nd prizes to both divisions.

A special thank you to all the participants, as your commitment and comradery ashore made it a very successful weekend.
