The House and Entertainment Committee and the Hospitality Management Team have, according to the updated Squadron Strategic Plan, renewed our vision for how our dining and events contribute to RQYS’s success on and off the water. We endeavour to cater to our members with a diverse offering of high-quality food and beverage – including seasonal wine lists and menus – as well as the hosting of special events for our members such as concerts and Captain’s Table dinners. Our new Spring Restaurant Menu starts today!

The first encounter with RQYS for prospective members, and the beginning of a journey which leads to a sense of belonging to and lifelong participation in our Squadron community, can often through a visit to our cafe or restaurant, or to a concert or private function where guests include non-members. The Squadron is committed to a strategy of engagement, encouragement and pathways to participation and so by inviting non-members to experience all that RQYS has to offer we are ultimately supporting the growth of our on-water community as well.

Our Members can play a role in promoting and building the Squadron, its proud history and strong family-friendly community by sharing Facebook posts (it’s more effective to share than just like) for events that we are holding.  In early November the “Captain’s Table” dinner will feature Stacey Jackson who has competed in two Volvo Ocean Races.  You can help promote this fantastic event to your family and friends by sharing the post at this link https://www.facebook.com/events/325373081349746/.
