Congratulations to Squadron sailors Stacey Jackson and Alex Gough for completing the Volvo Ocean Race 2017-2018.
This wasn’t Stacey’s first Volvo Ocean Race, her debut was all the way back in 2014. This year she was racing on board with the Vestas 11th Hour Racing Team who overall placed 5th.
Alex had his debut in the Volvo Ocean Race this year on board Team Sun Hung Kai/Scallywag. The team placed an overall 6th on the board.
We look forward to welcoming home both of our Sailors from accomplishing this physical and mental challenge. We also hope to see them both back on their foils to compete in the International Moth Class Association Australian Championships in January here at the Squadron.
