Weekend Wrap Up.
This weekends report is a little shorter with Club OTB on Saturday and School Fleet racing on Sunday.
Saturday’s Off the Beach Club racing started with picture perfect conditions. On Northern Course the conditions seemed to be especially perfect for the VX One fleet that looked to be getting around the track at a great pace. Spikey and I then headed over to southern course just in time to see some fantastic race 2 starts from all classes, while we carefully monitored a storm cell which was kind enough to hold back until everyone could be off the water and packed up.
Sunday was another perfect day for Schools Fleet Racing, with winds averaging around 10–15 knots. After the schools finished their races, Jury members Greg K, Jan K, and Mark G stepped in to assist with a request for redress hearing. We are always grateful to our volunteer jury members, who give up their weekends to support hearings and other regatta duties.
Our Jury is always looking for new members! If you’re keen to deepen your understanding of the Racing Rules of Sailing and be part of a core regatta team, get in touch with the Sailing Office. We can introduce you to the Jury and guide you through your first steps.
