In partnership with Yachtshare, the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron invites the public to the upcoming Summer Get Onboard Expo (GOBE). Our second event for 2025, we have seen the Get Onboard Boat Expo grow from strength to strength since its inception in 2024 to become Brisbane’s only boat show. Review this article following the Winter event held last June.

Held on the prestigious grounds of Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, the Get Onboard Boat Expo – Summer Edition, is primarily focused on smaller watercraft and on-land displays ranging from Kayaks to Trailer Boats, Windsurfers and Inflatables.   Also enjoy on-water displays from Freedom Boat Club, Yachtshare and The Yacht Sales Co with a range of cruising and racing yachts.

This free public event celebrates the boating and marine lifestyle, providing an excellent platform to connect with boating enthusiasts and water lovers everywhere!  Also being held during the Boat Expo, our Treasures from the Bilge Carboot Sale is the place to buy and sell your unwanted boating bits and bobs – from fenders to anchors, rope to boating books – it’s time to empty your garage of all those boating bits and fill your carboot with items for sale to the General Public.

With loads more in-store for the Boat Expo, including displays, racing, marina jobs presentation, live entertainment and plenty more, you can’t afford to miss this free event at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron.

When: Friday 7th November 2025 from 3pm to 7pm and Saturday 8th November from 10am to 5pm

• • • Treasures from the Bilge carboot sale. Held in the Member’s carpark on Saturday 8th November from 9am to 11am.
    • BIA Careers in the Marine Industry – panel discussion.   Hear from our guest panellists on how they got into their varied roles in the marine industry – from CEO to Podcaster to Trades the options are limitless!  Held in the RQYS Auditorium on Saturday 8th November from 2-3pm.  Free tickets below.
    • Youth Committee Networking Evening.  Come and meet the Youth of RQYS and at the same time, hear from sailors who have chosen a path away from competitive sailing but embracing their passion in the sport.   Held in the Flags Room on Friday 7th November at 6:30pm.
