Queensland Youth Week is Australia’s largest mid-winter Youth and Junior Championship and is proudly hosted by Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron with support from Australian Sailing.
Running from 6 – 10 July 2018, we invite Junior and Youth sailors, with the age limit being Under 21 years for ALL youth classes. Championship racing will run on multiple courses in Moreton Bay, in the waters between Green Island, King Island and Manly.

Support/Coach Boat Registration
Optimist Green Fleet Camp
7 – 10 July 2018
Running over the four (4) days of Championship racing, the Green Fleet Camp will be run by our Optimist Coaches in conjunction with our Sailing Academy. The program will be a mix of coaching with a range of marine sports such as stand-up paddle boarding, windsurfing and sailing in other types of boats.
Sign-on at 1000 hours, sign-off at 1500 hours
Between 1200 and 1300 there will be a 1 hour lunch break where children are NOT supervised by RQYS coaches and staff. Parents are expected to remain at the club as parents are responsible for their children onshore for this program. Participants will need to sign-off for their lunch break and sign-on again at 1300.
