DESCRIPTION:Welcome back to RQ Youth Squad Training\, and a warm welcome to our new members! We’re excited to kick off another Term of sailing and windsurfing with you all. \nTraining will resume on Sunday 1st February 2026\, with specific start dates outlined in the fleet training schedule. Please note that not all fleets start or finish on the same day! \nREGISTER HERE \nSATURDAYS – 07 February to 28 March from 0830 – 1130hrs \n\nIntermediate Opti\nOpen Opti\nILCA 4\nILCA 6\nRS Feva\n29ers\n\nYOUTH SQUAD PRICING:\nSingle Handed Fleets: \n1 Session a week – Weekday or Weekend session option: $235.00\n2 Sessions a week – Weekday and Weekend session option: $335.00 \n\nIntermediate Opti\nOpen Opti\nILCA 4\nILCA 6\nWindsurfing\nWind Foiling\n\nDouble-Handed Fleets: \n1 session per week option – SATURDAY ONLY \n\nFeva – $180 per sailor\n29ers – $180 per sailor\n\n2 sessions per week option \n\n29ers – $280 per sailor\n\nPlease Note: \n\nPlease ensure that BOTH the skipper and crew register for 2-handed boats.\nIf you need to hire equipment\, please confirm availability with the Sailing Academy first\, then complete our Equipment Hire Registration HERE.\nIt’s important to note that each class has a minimum attendance requirement. If this requirement isn’t met\, we may be unable to assign a class-specific coach for the term.\nIn the case that weather conditions aren’t suitable for on-water activities\, we’ll conduct theory sessions.\nTo participate in this training\, you need to be a Junior Member of RQYS.\n\nWe’d love to see you participating in RQYS Club Racing\, as this is the progression for Youth Squad training. \nYou can find out all the details here: Club Racing – RQYS \nStay Connected:\n–    Stack Team App: RQ Youth Squad\n–    Facebook Page: RQYS YouthSquad \nOur team will use these platforms to keep you informed throughout the term. \n  \nIMPORTANT NOTICE: \nBy registering for this program\, you acknowledge and accept that sailing is a dangerous sport that carries inherent risks\, including the potential for serious injury. One specific risk during this course is head injuries caused by contact with the boom or other equipment\, which can occur regardless of a sailor’s level of experience or skill. \nThe safety of each sailor is ultimately their own and their parent’s responsibility. This includes taking appropriate precautions to minimise risks\, such as wearing a helmet to reduce the likelihood of serious injury.
