SYNOPTIC SITUATION
A weak ridge extends along the southern Queensland coast. A low lies over the
northwestern Coral Sea while another low lies to the south of New Caledonia. The
New Caledonia system will move southwestwards into the northern Tasman Sea
during the outlook period, extending a S’ly wind flow on to the southern
Queensland coast.

FORECAST FOR MORETON BAY
Saturday until midnight: Winds: E to SE 10 to 15 knots, shifting S to SE in the
evening. Seas: 0.7 metres. Isolated showers.
Sunday: Winds: SW to SE 10 to 15 knots, tending SE to NE 10 to 15 knots in the
afternoon. Seas: 0.7 metres. Isolated showers.
Monday: Winds: Variable 5 to 10 knots, tending E to NE 10 to 15 knots in the
afternoon.
Tuesday: Winds: S to SE 5 to 10 knots, tending SE 10 to 15 knots during the
morning.
